The Red LED strips / controllers must be powered by a LED power supply / LED transformer .

You choose the correct 12V power supply as follows: number of meters of LED strip x 2 Ampere

Load the power supply to a maximum of 80% of its maximum capacity.
In the case of this 5-meter long LED strip, choose the 12V, 10A power supply.
Expand with a dimmer?
To set the desired light output you need a controller .
The connection sequence is as follows: 230V > LED power supply > controller > Red LED strip.
